Ways We Fundraise
SickKids Foundation raises critical funds for The Hospital for Sick Children in a variety of ways.
In addition to the events, miracle club, tribute/legacy programs and giving societies detailed on this web site, here are a few of the other unique ways we reach out to donors in our community.
Direct Dialogue
The Direct Dialogue program is designed to gain support from our community and allow us to acquire donors that we may not be able to reach. It is a respectful face to face interaction on the street and in malls seeking out donors who are committed to making long-term monthly pledges. The agency assisting us with raising needed dollars for the highest priority needs of the hospital is: Public Outreach – www.publicoutreach.ca
For more information on the Direct Dialogue Program, please contact Tanya Tucker, Assistant Manager – Donor Acquisition at 416.813.7651 or via e-mail tanya.tucker@sickkidsfoundation.com.
DRTV
Direct Response Television (DRTV) is a way we can reach out to a large volume of potential donors in a short time period of time. SickKids Foundation produces various length television programs that are featured on many television stations both locally and nationally. The programs allow viewers to get up close and personal with the kids, families, researchers and physicians at SickKids together with the opportunity to give a one-time gift or join the miracle club. We use partners to help in the production of these programs and to handle our call volume.
For more information on DRTV, please contact Tanya Tucker, Assistant Manager – Donor Acquisition at 416.813.7651 or via e-mail tanya.tucker@sickkidsfoundation.com.
SickKids Radiothon 2008
The 22nd Annual SickKids Radiothon will take to the airwaves of Standard Radio stations 99.9 Mix FM, 97.3 EZ Rock and Newstalk 1010 CFRB on March 26th, 27th and 28th, 2008.
Last year, the SickKids Radiothon raised a world-record-setting amount of $3,700,000 for the highest priorities at SickKids. Presented by Foresters, this year's Radiothon will be better than ever!
Please join us in March 2008 for an emotional three days of telling SickKids stories.
Operation Herbie
Operation Herbie is a volunteer based fundraising group that has been raising money for the Herbie Fund for over 25 years at The Hospital for Sick Children.
The group is dedicated to bringing children, who are in need of life-saving or life-altering surgeries from all parts of the world to SickKids for medical treatment.
