SickKids Leaders

The History of SickKids Leaders

SickKids Leaders was established in 2001/2002 by members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.  The co-founders sought to create a program that would galvanize the leadership of Ontario’s business community and provide them with opportunities for meaningful engagement with SickKids.

Through peer driven campaigns, Leaders gathered support from colleagues, industry associates, friends and family. 

They also increased awareness of SickKids through individual or Foundation hosted events, where guests learned first-hand of the innovative research and care conducted at SickKids.

Through the efforts of this community of philanthropists, SKL has cultivated a fellowship of like-minded Leaders inspired by a common cause – to advance children’s health care here and around the world.

Through the collaborative efforts of SickKids Leaders, this group has raised more than $17 million for SickKids.
