Volunteer

One great way to creatively give to SickKids is to make a donation of your time. We are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic, energetic, responsible and dedicated. Volunteers are essential to the success of fundraising events for SickKids Foundation and we hope you are interested in helping with the many volunteer opportunities that occur throughout the year with the Foundation.

Please note that volunteer opportunities with the Foundation are all outside The Hospital for Sick Children, and do not involve any contact with patients of SickKids.

Thank you very much for your interest in volunteering with SickKids Foundation. At the moment, we do not have any volunteer opportunities available with the Foundation. At this time of year, we receive many inquiries regarding visiting the Hospital to drop off gifts to patients or to entertain the children. Due to privacy policies set in place, only registered volunteers can come into the Hospital.

As an alternative, you are welcome to drop off a new and unwrapped toy to the Hospital’s Information Desk during specific hours. Please click on this link to view the 2007 Toy Drive Flyer, for information on what items are recommended by our Child Life Team.

You can also make a wish come true this holiday season at SickKids by making a donation that will go toward funding items or services that the hospital has identified as a need. Visit our Holiday Wish List for more information.

 

I will never forget when I asked one guy who walked by for a donation of two dollars to support Operation Herbie. He looked at me smiled and said, "Just two dollars? How about $1,000?"
